Department and Programme Introduction

The Department of Computer Science offers the four-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) programme, comprising eight semesters and affiliated with the University of Sargodha. The programme provides students with a comprehensive foundation in computer science, blending rigorous academic theory with practical technical skills in software development and computing systems. It is designed to develop students’ analytical, logical, programming, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for professional technology careers and advanced academic pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed Intermediate (such as ICS, FSc Pre-Engineering, or equivalent) or an equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks are eligible to apply. Admission includes candidate assessment and an interview, and is subject to the applicable merit, institutional, and University of Sargodha requirements in force at the time of admission.

Students have access to dedicated computer laboratories, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, a Media Centre, and a well-stocked library. The Institute also features a grand, furnished auditorium and facilities for seminars and academic conferences.
